Marvel fans were pretty upset with the way Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) dealt with Gamorra's (Zoe Saldana) death in Avengers: Infinity War. Sure, the Guardians of the Galaxy member was shocked, but did he really have to undo all the hard work that Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Nebula (Karen Gillan) and the rest of the Titan team worked on trying to defeat Thanos (Josh Brolin)? Well, Pratt also admits that his Peter Quill really sucked in Infinity War.
The Marvel star recently spoke with Digital Spy to help promote The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, and during the interview Pratt said that Marvel fans were right to be upset about Star-Lord's mistake.
However, when asked by the publication whether he was worried about Peter's reputation going into Infinity War's sequel, Avengers: Endgame, Pratt said he wasn't anxious about it at all.
"Oh no, I'm not nervous at all about Endgame coming out. I think it's totally true, and I personally feel the same as everyone else about Star-Lord," the actor told the publication.
Of course, Star-Lord isn't going to be the clown forever. Sure, Peter Quill might have been one of the many characters that turned into dust at the end of Infinity War, but Pratt says that his character's going to make his way back into Endgame with a great come back.
"I know things, okay? And I feel like audiences are gonna be blown away when this next film comes out," Pratt said.
We can only wonder what kind of redemption arc Marvel's going to give Star-Lord in Endgame.
Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26, 2019.
