For the last 48 hours or so, the internet has been debating about whether Harry Styles spitted on Chris Pine in the viral video that was captured during the world premiere of the Olivia Wilde film Don't Worry Darling at the Venice International Film Festival. People have made theories and speculations about the incident and now it looks like it has been settled.
According to Variety, the Star Trek and Wonder Woman actor's representative has released a statement regarding the incident where they denied the claims that the Eternals star spat on him and called it a "ridiculous story." They iterated that the two actors don't have any heat between them and have shot down any speculation that resulted from the viral video.
"This is a ridiculous story — a complete fabrication and the result of an odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation," Pine's representative said in a statement. "Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine. There is nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist."
Variety also noted in their report that they heard from their sources that there was no tension between Pine and Styles during the premiere and no one flagged the potential incident.
The latest viral video between the two actors is part of a series of events that have transpired since the press tour for Don't Worry Darling started which includes rumors of behind-the-scenes drama between Wilde and star Florence Pugh, who has done minimal promotional work for the film.
As the conversation in social media grew regarding the viral video ever since it surfaced, it looks like it's been finally settled and we can put down one small part in the series of behind-the-scenes drama that has happened surrounding the new film.
