Chris Hemsworth Teases Taika Waititi’s Script for Thor: Love and Thunder

Though Captain America and Iron Man may have bowed out of the MCU, Thor is still sticking around, and he's set to have his next movie in 2022 caleld Thor: Love and Thunder. Apparently the film already has a script, and Chris Hemsworth teases what Taika Waititi has in store.

Talking to Jimmy Kimmel Live, Hemsworth teases, "It's one of the best scripts I've read in years… It's Taika at his most extreme, and at his best. If the version I read is the one we get running with, it's going to be pretty insane."

With Ragnarok ending up being wacky and silly, Waititi has teased that the film is going to be "like 10-year-olds told us what should be in a movie and we said yes to every single thing." I guess Hemsworth's reaction lines up with what Waititi was teasing us about weeks before.

I don't really know about you, but I'm actually one of the people who thought that Ragnarok was kind of overrated. I mean, sure the world was fun, but it kind of downplays the potential of the Thor franchise to be the MCU's Lord of the Rings. I'm also a fan of Waititi's work like Hunt for the Wilderpeople and Jojo Rabbit, and I can say that Ragnarok felt like it was far from him taking the movie seriously.

Then again, that's just my opinion. Some people still love this movie, and that's no problem. I just kind of wish that Waititi took Thor a lot more seriously even if he's going to lean in on the comedy aspect.

For now, Thor: Love and Thunder is set to come out on Feb. 18, 2022. You can catch Hemsworth in Netflix's Extraction which comes out this Friday.
