Chris Evans recently opened up about the details of how he proposed to his now-wife, Alba Baptista.
The MCU star notably wed Baptista in a private ceremony in September 2023 after a few years of being in a relationship. The details were under wraps at that time, but fans have been supportive of the actor's married life.

In a recent interview, Evans revealed the details of the preparations that he underwent when he proposed to Baptista.
He shared that he learned Portuguese, his now-wife's first language, before popping the question.
"Maybe I shouldn't even be saying this. I proposed to my now-wife in Portuguese — she's Portuguese. So I learned how to say, 'Will you marry me?' in Portuguese. And I had practiced all week," the actor said.
"I had practiced it so much that, while her and I, I'd be making breakfast and you almost just start saying it out loud and you're like, 'Oh God.' That's not just a song that's stuck in my head, it's gonna let the cat out of the bag."
When the long-awaited moment happened, Evans was "really nervous." He said, "I actually think I screwed it up. But I still know it!"

Reports of Evans and Baptista's relationship became public around 2022, with claims that they had been romantically linked for over a year at that time.
They made their first red carpet appearance together as a couple in early 2024, months after their wedding.
Filmmaker Jimmy Warden gave a rare insight into the couple's relationship when he spoke to People earlier this year, as he and his wife, Samara Weaving, had a double date with them.
"Sometimes you run into people, [and] you're like, 'Oh, this wasn't matchmaking.' You know what I mean? No one was pulling the string. It was just like, 'Oh, these people are exactly right for each other.' [Evans is] also the nicest person. And he's the coolest obviously. He's Captain America," he said.
