Halstead takes a new recruit under his wing during an investigation. The dynamics are challenging, however, and questions arise over the recruit’s complicated past.

Elsewhere, Mr. P, one of Adam's former teachers, stopped by to seek his assistance in finding his daughter.

Things became complicated when Mr. P's daughter was discovered with drugs in a college and overdosed. Furthermore, he attempted to spare her from going to prison by tagging her along on an undercover trip to bust her dealer's drug operation. However, things went wrong when Adam had to put his life on the line to keep his cover on the assignment.
