Check Out this Spider-Man Costume with Accurate Mechanical Eyes

Marvel had introduced to us Tom Holland’s Spider-Man back in Captain America: Civil War, and it also gave us our first look at a Spidey with expressive mechanical eyes. Ever since it was released, some cosplayers have come out to try and mimic the eyes on their costumes, but this one actually had the smarts to try and remote control his goggles.

Check it out:

Early videos that came out of the mechanical Spider-Man eyes would simply have the eyes automatically detract and contract. This costume looks like the cosplayer had rigged it with a remote so he could change expressions as he pleased.

Just imagine, we needed to have five Spider-Man films before Marvel figured out a way to make the character more expressive without making it seem too cartoon-y.

For now, Spider-Man is set to appear again in Avengers: Infinity War, this time with an upgraded suit akin to that of the Iron Spider from the Civil War comic. Some LEGO sets have confirmed that this will also have the trademark mechanical arms as well, and no doubt some cosplayers will find a way to make it a functional prop too.

Avengers: Infinity War comes out May 4.
