Jon Favreau's been pretty busy working on his upcoming live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian, and while Lucasfilm's been keeping the project's various secrets close to its chest, photos taken from the set of the series have managed to make their way online.
MakingStarWars.net just managed to take a few photos from the set of The Mandalorian, and not only do they give fans a new look at the series, but they also offer a preview at what seems to be a lava-filled location. Showing a trench filled with black molten soil filling up at the sides, the images also feature a skiff that could be used to travel through a tunnel in the ground. Right now we really can't tell what planet or location is being featured in the film, but fans might be guessing Darth Vader's Mustafar.

There's been certainly a lot of hype building up over The Mandalorian. Written by Jon Favreau, the series has been collecting some pretty high-profile episode directors including Thor: Ragnarok helmsman Taika Waititi, Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa the director of Dope, and Jessica Jones episode director Deborah Chow.
The series which will be made available on Disney's streaming service, Disney Plus, is set to feature the adventures of a lone Mandalorian warrior in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the hold of the New Republic. Set between the events of The Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, the series offers Star Wars fans brand new adventures from Lucasfilm's galaxy far, far away.
The Mandalorian doesn't have a release date yet, but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
