Spider-Man: No Way Home not only gave both Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire the redemption they so rightfully deserved, but it also served as a second chance for Charlie Cox to prove that he belongs in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A lot of people were thrilled to learn that his version of Daredevil is finally crossing over to the billion-dollar franchise but his cameo appearance in the MCU blockbuster was a tricky one because it didn't generate the desired reaction from casual fans.

Of course, not a lot of people were able to follow Netflix's Marvel shows, some fans had no idea that they existed even so it doesn't really come as a surprise. Still, Cox himself did admit that getting zero crowd reaction for his cameo in No Way Home felt like a major letdown. In conversation with the Radio Times, the actor revealed that he also snuck into a screening of the film fresh off its release, and despite some of his folks telling him that his Daredevil cameo was well-received, the moviegoers in his theater failed to respond with exuberance.

Recalling the disheartening experience, Cox shared: "It's funny, I got so many text messages and so many calls about that moment in the cinema. My nephew sent me a recording of everyone cheering. So I snuck into a movie theater near where I live and literally stood in the corridor... and, sadly, my experience was it was dead f**king quiet! I was so disappointed – my wife was with me and she was recording me, because it'd be fun to have that moment of everyone cheering, and then... tumbleweed!"

You really couldn't blame the "casuals" for not recognizing Cox in the film but at least, his tenure as the Man Without Fear has been renewed. This time around, I'm pretty sure fans will be paying attention to what Matt Murdock does next and with the MCU expanding, expect nothing but great things from him in the future.

Meanwhile, Charlie Cox is expected to reprise his role as Daredevil in She-Hulk.
