Captain Marvel 2 Reportedly Going to be a 'Cosmic Horror' Movie

It might sound a little bit odd, but word has it that Captain Marvel 2 may end up being the Marvel Cinematic Universe's first cosmic horror movie.

According to a report by Cosmic Book News, word on the rumor mills suggests that Marvel may end up turning its highly anticipated Captain Marvel sequel into a "cosmic horror" movie with Brie Larson's Carol Danvers getting involved with SWORD and eventually forming Marvel's A-Force.

These rumors suggest that the plot of the movie is going to have Danvers become an official agent of Sword. When the world finds itself face to face with a massive cosmic threat, Danvers helps build the A-Force with Ms. Marvel/ otherwise known as Kamala Khan, She-Hulk, Spider-Woman. Scarlet Witch, Mighty Thor, Valkyrie, and Spectrum).

The report somehow crosses with rumors that were released earlier this year where Marvel might introduce the A-Force into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Outside of the A-Force, the rumor also suggests that Marvel is actually developing a Secret Invasion Disney+ series to tie in together with Captain Marvel 2. The series will focus on the story of a group of Skrull refugees hiding on Earth while being pursued by Kree sleeper agents being yelled by Yon-Rogg and the rest of the remaining members of the Kree's Starforce.

This is definitely interesting news. The A-Force and the Kree have always been linked with Captain Marvel. However, as interesting as these rumors might be, fans should remember to take the report with a grain of salt. Rumors can only remain as such until there's confirmation from Marvel itself.
