Disney has confirmed that Camp Rock 3 is officially beginning production after years of clamoring from fans who have been hoping that the beloved DCOM franchise will have a third installment.
For years, there have been rumors that Disney might be working on a third Camp Rock movie with the original cast returning alongside a new generation of actors. With the current trend of nostalgia IP and bait, and the resurgence of the Jonas Brothers, it feels inevitable for Camp Rock to be revisited with a new movie, and now it is finally happening sooner than you might think.
Are the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato Returning in Camp Rock 3?

Fortunately for fans, the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato are confirmed to be involved in Camp Rock 3.
The Jonas Brothers will be reprising their roles of the Connect 3 from the previous films and also serve as executive producers. Demi Lovato is also involved as an executive producer, but it is unknown yet whether she will make an on-screen appearance to reprise her role of Mitchie.
Maria Canals-Barrera, who played Mitchie's mother in the previous films, is also confirmed to return. Sherry Cola will be playing a new character named Lark.
Liamani Segura, Hudson Stone, Lumi Pollack, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts, Ava Jean, and Malachi Barton have been cast to play the new campers in Camp Rock and mentored by Connect 3.
Production is currently ongoing in Vancouver. The film will premiere first on Disney Channel, before it becomes available for streaming on Disney+.
What is Camp Rock 3 About?
According to the official logline of Camp Rock 3: "Connect 3 loses their opening act for a major reunion tour, returning to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big thing. As campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise and friendships are tested, leading to unexpected alliances, revelations, and romances."
Camp Rock’s all-new campers include bold and determined Sage and her easygoing brother Desi, cello prodigy Rosie, drummer with his own beat Cliff, choreo queen Callie, intimidating influencer Madison, and camp bad boy Fletch.
The movie is directed by Veronica Rodriguez, written by Eydie Faye, and choreographed by Jamal Sims. There is no release window set yet as of this writing.
