BTS Suga Hits Billboard 200 Main Albums Chart
On Monday, Billboard (via The Korea Times) revealed that BTS Suga's D-Day ranked No. 2 on its 200 Main Albums Chart.
The honor made him tie with BTS Jimin, who secured the same spot with Face in April. The duo then became the highest-charting K-pop soloist as of press time.

TS Suga's D-Day scored the spot after selling 140,000 equivalent album units, including 122,000 physical album sales. He is yet to dethrone Morgan Wallen and his album, "One Thing at a Time," which has been on the chart's No. 1 in eight consecutive weeks.
Billboard said in its announcement:
"Like many K-pop releases, the CD edition of D-Day was issued in collectible CD packages, each containing a standard set of items and randomized elements. It was also available as a standard digital download album, as well as three alternative cover digital download variants that were sold exclusively through the artist's official webstore. Of D-Day's first-week sales, 90 percent were CDs, while the remaining 10 percent were digital album downloads."
BTS Suga Praised for Being True Brand Ambassador
Aside from his album, BTS Suga himself scored people's attention when he held his first solo concert in Newark, New Jersey, on April 29.
During the show, BTS Suga said he would take selfies using fans' phones if they are Samsung Galaxy phones. He told his fans that they should give him a Galaxy phone repeatedly.
After the concert, Suga promoted Samsung even more and showed his own phone from the brand.
"These are the tour merch; doesn't it fit the Galaxy so well?" he quipped. "I even have a Samsung TV at home. Samsung, please give me an advertisement for household goods too!"
