BTS J-Hope logged online to greet his fans before his mandatory military enlistment.
BIGHIT MUSIC and HYBE confirmed that BTS J-Hope would be the second member to enter the military after Jin. He will serve as an active duty soldier after undergoing a 5-week basic training.
Initial reports said the Chicken Noodle Soup hitmaker would enlist on April 18, but the idol revealed an earlier enlistment date to ARMYs.

BTS J-Hope Reconnects With ARMYs Before Enlistment
On Thursday, BTS J-Hope held a live session with ARMYs on Weverse before starting his military service. He held the broadcast after promising fans that he would meet them before his enlistment.
During his appearance, he expressed his gratitude to fans and shared what he currently thinks now that he will follow Jin in the military.
"To be honest, I felt like 'what do I do' about a week ago. But now I feel okay to the point that I wonder if I should feel this way. Maybe I became indifferent," he said. "I've been thinking a lot lately. I thought 'time passes by so fast,' that it's already time (for me to enlist)."

He also assured fans that he would be back safely. He disclosed that he had taken a long rest before his enlistment.
BTS J-Hope then revealed he would be discharged around Oct. 17, 2024, while his target enlistment date is around April 17.
BTS J-Hope's Military Enlistment Makes Jungkook Adjust His Overseas Schedule
During the same live session, J-Hope revealed that Jungkook had changed his schedule for his enlistment.
"Something I was moved by and heard from the management team was that Jungkook's schedule was already filled but he adjusted it for me hearing that, I thought 'I've raised a kid well' This is just a joke. I was really touched," he said. "He adjusted the schedule, saying, 'I must go when hyung goes.'"
Jungkook is gearing up to focus on his solo career. ARMYs have been expecting him to release his first solo album soon after he was seen traveling to Los Angeles, California.
