BTS opens the new year with great news as the group maintains the top spot in the January Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings.
The January Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings were thoroughly measured through an analysis of consumer participation, media exposure, social media communication, and community value indexes of boy groups using big data collected from December 7, 2022 to January 7, 2023.
The Korea Corporate Reputation Research institute analyzed 64,874,617 big brand data for January 2023 which was a 21.82% increase compared to the 53,254,856 recorded in December 2022.
BTS Ranks First Place At The January Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings
BTS (RM, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) ranked No.1 in the January Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings with a total brand reputation index of 10,103,467. This was a 17.70% downfall from the group’s brand reputation index in December 2022, which was 12,276,480.
The HYBE Label boy group had a consumer participation index of 514,572, media exposure of 3,324,419, social media communication index of 2,651,585, and a community value index of 3,612,890.
High-ranking phrases for BTS include “Jungkook,” “Jin,” and “collaboration.” While the highest-ranking related terms include “record,” “collaborate,” and “enlist.”
NCT Rises To Second Place At The January Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings
NCT members Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun, Winwin, Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, Jisung, Lucas, Jeongwoo, and Kun accumulated a total brand reputation index of 5,087,767, putting the SM Entertainment boy group at second place in the January Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings. This was a 129.32% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 2,218,616 in December 2022.
The boy group had a consumer participation index of 136,384, media exposure of 1,078,024 social media communication index of 1,609,371, and a community value index of 2,263,989.

SEVENTEEN Comes At Third Place In The January Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings
SEVENTEEN S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino ranked in third place with a total brand reputation index of 3,595,017. This was a 5.54% decrease compared to their brand reputation index of 3,805,885 in December 2022.
The groundbreaking boy group recorded a consumer participation index of 239,956, media exposure of 1,359,541, social media communication index of 681,878, and a community value index of 1,313,643.
Super Junior, EXO Rank Fourth And Fifth At The January Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings
Next on the list was Super Junior in fourth place. Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Siwon, Donghae, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun accumulated a total brand reputation index of 2,962,809. This was a 155.83% increase compared to their brand reputation index of 1,158,095 in December 2022.
On the other hand, another SM Entertainment boy group follows at fifth place. EXO members Xiumin, Suho, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O, Kai, and Sehun received a total brand reputation index of 2,805,829. This was a 32.86% increase compared to their brand reputation index in December 2022, which was at 2,111,860.
