Bryce Dallas Howard has voiced her profound gratitude for the chance of a lifetime, and that is the chance to have been a part of the Star Wars franchise at all.
This makes her one of the most dedicated and seasoned directors of the galaxy far, far away, surpassing even creator George Lucas in the number of live-action stories helmed.
Bryce Dallas Howard Expresses Gratitude Over Directing Ahsoka Season 2

Actor/director Bryce Dallas Howard recently wrapped up directing two episodes of Ahsoka season 2, and yet she hopes to continue working on new projects in the Star Wars franchise.
"I love it so, so, so much. I yearn to stay on this path of being able to be in that world, and grow, and learn and challenge myself," Howard told People in a recent interview, "But also, it's not just about me. It's about the medium. For me, I've let go of wishing or yearning for something that is specific in terms of results, like film, animation, streaming. Whatever it is, if I can be of service to Lucasfilm, I will."
Apart from her excitement and gratitude to keep the ball rolling in Star Wars, she couldn't help but admire the working environment and appreciate the studios' willingness to work with filmmakers on bringing their creative ideas to life.
"They're [Star Wars creatives] very efficient in terms of resources, because they... want to stretch [the budget] as far as you can," Howard explained, "You want every dollar to be onscreen. And sometimes, as everyone knows, the limitations obviously often give birth to the greatest ideas."
She added, "When it comes down to it, if you need the thing to happen, it can happen on a Star Wars set. And as a filmmaker, there's no greater privilege."
How Much of Star Wars Has Bryce Dallas Howard Directed?
With two episodes of Ahsoka season 2 right under her belt, Howard has directed more live-action Star Wars installments than any other filmmaker.
Howard has helmed seven episodes across multiple notable shows in the franchise, including Ahsoka, The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Skeleton Crew. She's even surpassed the directing credits of franchise creator George Lucas himself.
Ahsoka season 2 has no release date yet, but its potential streaming date might land sometime in 2026. Stay tuned.
