Britney Spears recently posted on social media a video of herself dancing to Justin Timberlake's song, which surprised a lot of fans.
The two music stars are known to be exes as they were in a highly-publicized relationship during the earlier years of their respective careers. Spears also discussed her perspective on their history in her best-selling memoir The Woman in Me.
Britney Spears Shares Video of Herself Dancing to Justin Timberlake Song
In her recent post on Instagram, Spears shared a video of herself dancing to Timberlake's hit 2002 song "Señorita."
She was wearing a black lacy bodysuit and a hat and happily dancing to her ex's song in front of a fireplace.
The music icon didn't provide a caption for the post, and there is no explanation for why she decided to record a video of herself dancing to Timberlake's song.
The choice of "Señorita" was also worth noting as the song was released around the same year that Spears and Timberlake broke up.
A lot of fans were surprised to see Spears dancing to her ex's music due to the rocky history of their relationship in the past, and they've been speculating whether it is a sign that they are in good terms today or Spears was simply just having fun.
Nevertheless, Spears seemed to be happy in the video and fans are also glad that she continues to share entertaining videos on social media despite her retirement from the music industry.
Britney Spears's Recent Projects
Spears is currently retired from releasing new music and performing as she vowed that she "will never return to the music industry" and claimed that she has been working as a ghost writer for other artists.
Her memoir The Woman in Me was a best-seller when it was released in 2023 as it topped several book charts worldwide. Michelle Williams provided the audiobook narration.
A film adaptation is currently in the works with Wicked producer Marc Platt and director Jon M. Chu attached to the project. No actress has been cast yet to play the music icon.
Spears has teased that she is working on a follow-up book, but there are been no official updates on its development since then.
