Brie Larson recently addressed her return as Captain Marvel in the future of the MCU as fans are anticipating news on her next appearance.
Despite The Marvels underperforming at the box office, there is still hope that Carol Danvers' journey in the MCU is far from over and she is still set to make more appearances in future projects.
So far, Marvel Studios remains mum on the details regarding Larson's MCU future, but the end of The Marvels teed up a potential storyline for Carol Danvers on her next journey.
Brie Larson Discusses Captain Marvel Return in Future MCU Projects
In a recent interview, Larson addressed her potential return as Captain Marvel and working with her The Marvels co-stars again in future MCU projects.
As expected, she played coy in her response even if she has an idea on the plans for her character's future.
"I just loved being with those ladies so much. And I think that the sentiment of it is so right to me and is much more where I’m at in my life, which is, there’s no one superhero that can save us," the MCU star said.
"It takes all kinds of people that have their own special skill sets and the ability to understand that the brink of disaster cannot be stopped by one. It’s all of us coming together. So that feels really right to me. And you know, as for the future, there’s things that I know, but I can’t tell you."
When asked about her potential appearance in the upcoming Avengers movies, Larson played coy again in her response.
"I can’t say anything and I can’t even say that I don’t know anything because that might mean that there’s something to say or not say. So I’ll just say that I can’t say," she said.
Despite the lack of official details on her potential MCU return, it is great to hear an assurance that there are still plans for Larson to make more appearances as Carol Danvers even if her last movie did not do well financially.
It also shows that Marvel Studios remains committed to telling more stories about the character and the question now is whether we will see her rejoin the Avengers when they face off Doctor Doom.
