Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's legal battle continues, and she has made new allegations against her ex-husband in her new court filing. Jolie claimed that the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor hurt two of their kids physically and wanted to allegedly hide the abuse by keeping her silent.
Angelina Jolie Claimed She Sold Her Share To Brad Pitt, But He Wanted Her To Sign An NDA
In February, the Bullet Train actor sued Angelina Jolie for selling her shares in their winery business Miraval without his consent. Brad Pitt alleged that she was trying to intentionally "inflict harm" on him by selling her shares to a stranger, which forced him into a "partnership with a stranger, and worse yet, a stranger with poisonous associations and intentions," People reported.
Pitt also asserted that they had agreed to never sell their respective interests in the family business without the other's consent.
Jolie claimed in her new filing that Pitt's claim was "false" and "no such agreement ever existed." She also claimed that she approached Pitt and offered to sell her portion to him, the court documents obtained by People read.
However, Pitt allegedly "demanded" that she sign a non-disclosure agreement barring her from "speaking outside of court about Pitt's physical and emotional abuse of her and their children."
"Jolie refused to agree to such a provision, and Pitt walked away from the deal," Jolie's lawyers said in the court documents.
Brad Pitt Allegedly Choked, Struck 2 Kids During Angelina Jolie Fight
Angelina Jolie claimed in his new court papers that Brad Pitt came to the point of hurting two of their children. She didn't name who of the six kids were involved but said that those children tried to defend her during the altercation aboard the plane in 2016.
"When one of the children verbally defended Jolie, Pitt lunged at his own child and Jolie grabbed him from behind to stop him. To get Jolie off his back, Pitt threw himself backwards into the airplane's seats injuring Jolie's back and elbow," the court paper continued. "The children rushed in and all bravely tried to protect each other. Before it was over, Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face. Some of the children pleaded with Pitt to stop. They were all frightened."
Pitt allegedly emerged from the back of the plane periodically and yelled and swore at them. He also allegedly pour beer on her and beer and red wine to the kids.
A source close to Pitt denied Jolie's allegations and questioned why she only made those allegations six years after the event happened.
"It's incredibly sad that she continues to rehash, revise and reimagine her description of an event that happened 6 years ago, adding in completely untrue information to try to get additional attention for herself at the expense of their family," the source told People.
"She had the opportunity to share information with law enforcement who made the decision not to press charges. She had the chance to share this during the lengthy custody trial, which resulted in the judge granting 50-50 custody to Pitt. She has resorted to trying to keep rehashing the same thing. Going back to the same thing month after month with new and still false information for purposes that only she can understand."
