What Happened in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 238?
In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 238, A Killer on the Ship, everyone made it out from the fiasco that happened and they all got to escape the Funato Clan, while they were headed to the Land of Water. Captain Taiki was relieved because after all the damages the boat has faced, he’ll finally be compensated. However, the following day, to everyone’s surprise, Captain Taiki was murdered and the main suspect of everyone was Kyoho because his clothes had some bloodstains.
Before putting a judgment on Kyoho, the team decided to investigate first to make sure that everyone is safe and to know whoever killed Captain Taiki. One of the rescued persons said that Kyoho was seen walking near the quarters of the captain. However, Kawaki felt how suspicious the whole murder was. He told Iwabe and Boruto that it is possibly a member of the Funato clan hiding within a trap.
They faked killing Kyoho to wait for whoever is the killer who went to the body to take the blade but unbeknownst to him, everyone was just waiting for him to be caught. When cornered, he tried to blow up the engine and sacrifice himself so that there would be no information about the Funato clan to be taken from him. This led to all of them being stuck in the middle of the ocean.
