Ernst Stavro Blofeld is probably one of the most iconic Bond villains, and he was played by Chritsoph Waltz in the flop that was Spectre. Everyone thought they dropped him for the next film, but it looks like Waltz will be back.

As per the Daily Mail, Waltz will be returning for Bond 25 as Blofeld, but we still have no confirmation as to how large his role will be. At best it will probably a cameo, and we'll see him in the iconic Blofeld look complete with blind eye, scar, and bald head.

For now, the main villain is said to be played by Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody), and he's said to be something of a hacker/terrorist along the lines of his Mr. Robot character. We don't really know any more about what to expect, but hopefully we can get some kind of synopsis reveal come SDCC 2019.

Bond 25 is currently under production, and with a release set for early next year, we should probably expect a trailer before 2019 ends. Even if we don't get a trailer for this month, MGM should at least give us a synopsis of what to expect and maybe a breakdown of the characters.

Bond 25 is directed by Cary Fukunaga and stars Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Ana de Armas, Lashana Lynch, David Dencik, Billy Magnussen, Jeffrey Wright, Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes, and Lea Seydoux.

Catch Bond 25 when it hits theaters April 8, 2020.
