Although the cause of death remains undetermined, this discovery has given investigators some insight into the incident.
Ex-My Chemical Romance Drummer Bob Bryar Found Dead with Nitrous Oxide Canister Nearby
Bryar was found dead in his Tennessee home. Investigators have not yet determined the cause of death, but a new report from TMZ may offer some clues.
According to the autopsy report, three large containers of nitrous oxide were discovered near the musician’s body at the time he was found.
Per the Medical Examiner, the containers had tubing attached, suggesting they were ready for use.
The chemical, often used for pain management, can also induce feelings of euphoria, as stated by the National Institute of Health.
However, despite these findings, investigators have still classified the musician’s death as “undetermined,” as his body was already in a decomposed state when recovered. This has made it difficult for them to determine the exact cause of death.
Bryar, who was 44 years old, was found on November 26, but he was last seen alive on November 4.
Aside from the canisters, investigators also found antidepressants in the drummer’s home. Two dogs were left inside the building, and the examiner noted signs of “animal scavenging activity,” which further complicated the examination of his body.
