The summer anime season has just kicked off, yet several fall anime series have already started announcing their release dates. Among them is the Blue Miburo anime, which recently revealed its October release date and unveiled new promotional materials to stir excitement among fans of history and anime alike.
Blue Miburo Announces October Premiere Date
The Blue Miburo anime is set to make its TV premiere on October 12, 2024, as part of the stacked fall anime season lineup.
The news came with the reveal of the anime’s first promotional video, a concept movie, and a key visual, building further anticipation for its upcoming premiere.
Before its October 12 debut, the series will have its world premiere screening at the Anime Expo event on Thursday, July 4, hosted by YTV.
The anime will air every Saturday starting October 12 and is expected to run for at least three months if it follows a single cour release schedule.
When it premieres, Blue Miburo will join other highly anticipated titles such as Dandadan, Blue Lock season 2, DanMachi season 5, and Re:Zero season 3.
Where to Watch the Blue Miburo Anime
Blue Miburo, also known as The Blue Wolves of Mibu, will be broadcast on YTV and NTV channels and their affiliates in Japan.
Currently, there’s no confirmation on whether any international streaming platforms, such as Crunchyroll or HIDIVE, will pick up the series this fall.
Given that Crunchyroll streams several notable historical anime, such as The Apothecary Diaries and Rurouni Kenshin, it is highly likely that the company will also stream Blue Miburo when it premieres.
Blue Miburo: A Must-Watch Samurai Anime in the Fall
Fans of historical and samurai anime shouldn’t miss Blue Miburo when it comes out in October, as it promises a captivating blend of action and historical elements.
The story will center on Nio, an orphan who meets two important figures in Japanese history: Hijikata Toshizo and Okita Souji, founding members of a group of ronin known as the Miburo. Later, they would be known as the Shinsengumi.
Together, they will strive to bring justice and change to the world amidst several challenges and betrayals.
