It looks like Jessica Henwick has found herself another awesome cyberpunk project to work on. The star of The Matrix 4 has just been confirmed to take on the lead role in the upcoming anime series Blade Runner: Black Lotus.
Crunchyroll and Adult Swim has officially announced the voice cast of the latest Blade Runner project ahead of its special virtual panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2021. The cast will be led by Henwick, who provides the voice of the mysterious replicant Ellie. Arisa Shida will provide the Japanese voice of the character, who has been created for an unexpected purpose.
Henwick will be joined by Will Yun Lee, who will play Joseph, "a mysterious figure who owns a spare parts junkyard in Los Angeles." Joseph's Japanese voice will be provided by Shinshu Fuji. Samira Wiley and Takako Honda will portray Alani Davis, "a fresh LAPD recruit".

This is great news considering that fans have been waiting for an update on Black Lotus for some time now. However, it looks like the project is moving along well and there's a possibility we'll get the first teaser for the anime at SDCC 2021.
Black Runner: Black Lotus has not yet been given an official release date but this could be announced at SDCC 2021. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
