BIGBANG member Daesung signed a contract with R&D Company.
Daesung and his manager joined a new agency after their idol left YG Entertainment in January. He, however, said at the time of his exit that he would stay as a member of BIGBANG.
As he started planning to embark on a new journey in his career, the Wings hitmaker formally signed a new contract with another label.

BIGBANG Daesung Is Now Under R&D Company
On Monday, R&D Company released a statement (per Korea JoongAng Daily) confirming Daesung's deal with the label.
"We have signed an exclusive contract with Daesung, a member of Big Bang, who is loved by K-pop fans around the world," the agency said. "With D-Lable, the [in house] team dedicated to supporting Daesung, we promise unending support toward the artist."
Apart from Daesung, the idol's manager of 10 years also joined the agency, the label disclosed.
The move came months after he left his agency of 16 years, YG Entertainment, as he aimed to try new endeavors as an artist. Despite his exit, he seemingly assured fans he would remain part of BIGBANG by promising that the band would last forever.

Both Daesung and his BIGBANG co-member, Taeyang, left the label. The latter, meanwhile, joined YG Entertainment affiliate, The Black Label.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon is the only BIGBANG member who remains under YG Entertainment. The company revealed that his contract renewal is still in negotiations.
The other member, TOP, left YG Entertainment in February 2022.
R&D Company is home of famous artists, including Navi, Kisum, Chun Myung Hoon, and KyoungSeo.
BIGBANG Daesung's Lastest Project
With Daesung's move, fans can expect new music or project from the idol.
Daesung has not released anything as a soloist since dropping his second Japanese EP, D-Day, in 2017 before starting his mandatory military service the next year. The album contained seven songs, which he made with the help of several Japanese artists, including Hata Motohiro, Kameda Seiji, and Ayaka.
He also released the digital EP of Delight 2 in 2017. Its popularity led the team to release a physical format of the project.
