What is Beauty and Mr. Romantic Story About?
Beauty and Mr. Romantic is a romance K-Drama that follows the story of an actress who feels burnt out after working 15 years non-stop. But despite allowing her to rest, her mother books her contracts without consulting her.
Park Do-Ra (played by Lim Soo-Hyang) lands a role in a show in which Go Pil-Seung (played by Ji Hyun-Woo) is a producing director. He remembers her as the young girl who tattled on him for having a relationship with an older woman when he was 18.
At the same time, Pil-Seung's family hates Mi-Ja (played by Cha Hwa-Yeon), Do-Ra's mother who scammed their grandfather in the past.
But now that they get a chance to work together, they have to learn to work harmoniously. Thankfully, Do-Ra doesn't recognize Pil-Seung as the guy she had a huge crush on.
As an adult, all she wants is to be able to take a break and go on a vacation. But her mother has other plans and that involves using Do-Ra to fund her finances.
Is Beauty and Mr. Romantic Based on a Webtoon?
Is Beauty and Mr. Romantic based on a webtoon? So far, there doesn't seem to be a clue that the K-Drama comes from a webtoon or manhwa.
But for a K-Drama of its caliber, the show is being praised for having a well-written narrative. You'll also enjoy the fact that each episode lasts over an hour and has a total of 50 episodes.
The K-Drama is directed by Hong Seok-Ku with a script written by Kim Sa-Kyung.
