Who is Barriss Offee?
Barriss Offee first appeared in The Clone Wars season 2, where she began her pair-up journey with Ahsoka Tano.
Barriss was a Force-sensitive Mirialan and Jedi Knight who shockingly turned against the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order, later blaming her heinous deed of bombing the Jedi Temple of Coruscant on Ahsoka.
This makes her a ruthless opponent, for being persuaded by her own perception of the war.
Despite barely knowing the Clone Wars, her initial impression that the Jedi and Republic were responsible for it led her to cause more suffering than good for the galaxy.
Now that she's officially returning to the Star Wars franchise by first starring in Tales of the Empire, she's far more dangerous and capable than when she made her on-screen debut.
As an Imperial Inquisitor, she is set to be trained by the very Dark Side she presumed the Jedi and Republic to be, putting her in a tough spot in the series.

Tales of the Empire Timeline: How Old is Barriss Offee in the Series?
Barriss Offee was two years younger than Anakin Skywalker during her training as a Jedi Padawan.
However, what does this say about Barriss Offee's age in Star Wars: Tales of the Empire?
Well, the show creator Dave Filoni revealed in a feature on Star Wars: The Clone Wars The Complete Season that Offee is "a little bit older than" Ahsoka Tano.
Ahsoka Tano was 14 years old in The Clone Wars, while Anakin Skywalker was 19. This potentially means Offee's age was between 16 and 17 years old.
Tales of the Empire is believed to start in the year 20 BBY, which takes place before the Revenge of the Sith, and since Ahsoka turned 16 by 20 BBY, this could mean Offee is around 18-19 years old.
However, it is worth mentioning that even the Star Wars timeline is still jumbled up and requires confirmation on Barriss Offee's age, which we hope to see in the upcoming Tales anthological series.
