Avengers: Infinity War Star Wants to Play Another MCU Character after Red Skull

There is little doubt that actors want to continue working in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After all, playing a comic book character is an awesome job. Interestingly, Ross Marquand isn't quite satisfied with just playing one character in the MCU. The Avengers: Infinity War actor just admitted that he's hoping to play another character other than Red Skull.

Marquand, who took over the role originated by Hugo Weaving in Captain America: The First Avenger, recently participated in The Walking Dead's panel at Comic-Con@Home. While speaking to Comicbook.com, Marquand confessed that he is hoping to play more than just Red Skull in the MCU.

"I wanna keep playing many more, man. I think if I had to have any career, I'd want to be like an Andy Serkis," Marquand said. "He's able to transform himself in a million different ways until Sunday. Whenever you can do mo-cap and change your face and body and look however you want, there's so much more freedom in that and I would love to keep doing as many as they'll allow me to do, but it's really not my call."

It's a cool ambition considering that Marquand has already proven his skill at imitating several other actors. In addition to that, there have been other stars who have played other characters in the MCU. For instance, Gemma Chan has already portrayed Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel before she was cast as Sersi in The Eternals. With that in mind, Marquand's dream might actually come true.

For now, it's unclear if Marquand will return as Red Skull or any other MCU character. In the meantime, he will be back as Aaron in the final episode of The Walking Dead Season 10 which airs on AMC on October 4.
