Avengers Endgame Super Bowl Trailer Brings Back Captain America's Shield

The new trailer for Avengers: Endgame has just been dropped at Super Bowl 2019 and it looks like the survivors have no plans of letting Thanos get away with anything. They're fighting back and Captain America is putting his old shield back to good use.

The teaser opens with a bleak look at the world after the events in Avengers: Infinity War. Not surprisingly, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) isn't happy about what happened. "Some people move on," he says. "But not us."

The TV spot also confirms that Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) aren't giving up without a fight. The two appear to be working together to fix the Guardians of the Galaxy ship while the survivors on Earth are doing what they can to get by.

It also looks like Captain America has assembled everyone he has left. This includes Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and War Machine (Don Cheadle) as well as Rocket (Bradley Cooper). We also see Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) letting off some steam and there is a brief look at Ronin (Jeremy Renner).

But the best part of the teaser is undoubtedly the final sequence which shows Captain America pausing briefly before strapping on his shield. He's definitely back and he's coming for Thanos.

The Endgame Super Bowl TV spot might just be the start for Marvel Studios. There could be a new trailer for Captain Marvel that will be dropped as the Los Angeles Rams take on the New England Patriots.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26.
