There are several awesome Easter Eggs in Avengers: Endgame, most of which end up being an emotional throwback to Marvel Cinematic Universe fans. Interestingly, one particular Easter Egg somehow paid tribute to one of the many canceled Marvel shows.
WARNING: The following article contains spoilers. Turn back now if you haven't seen Avengers: Endgame yet.
In Endgame, Tony Stark and Steve Rogers travel back to 1970 to visit a SHIELD facility. Just as Tony acquires the Tesseract, he encounters his own father Howard Stark. After an awkward exchange, Howard unknowingly invites his future son out for some fresh air and proceeds to talk about his own excitement and fear about becoming a father.
It's an emotional scene (mostly for Tony; Howard has no idea who he is) that finally ends when Steve signals Tony that they need to go. Tony and Howard part ways and Howard asks his driver if the man he was just talking to looks familiar.
Agent Carter fans will be quick to notice who that driver is. It's Edwin Jarvis, played James D'Arcy, who also portrayed the character in the Hayley Atwell series.
This is possibly the first time that a character that was introduced in a (canceled) TV series has made an appearance in an MCU film. Although it's a short cameo, it certainly is an awesome one that has fans hoping that the characters from other Marvel shows like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage will show up in the MCU soon.
The synopsis for Endgame reads as follows:
"The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios' grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame."
Avengers: Endgame is currently screening in theaters worldwide.
