Avatar: The Last Airbender Zuko Film Sets Release Window

Paramount and Avatar Studios have a couple of listed series and animated movies lined up, one of them being the untitled Avatar: The Last Airbender animated movie set to be released on October 10, 2025. A new report has brought up that a Zuko-centric film is currently in development and has also already set a release window!

There is no doubt that one of the fan-favorite characters is Prince Zuko from the Fire Nation. Given that his redemption arc went from being Aang and his friends’ primary antagonist in Avatar: The Last Airbender to becoming a part of the group to battle the Fire Nation, a Zuko-led film has definitely been long overdue for the show’s fans.

According to Avatar News, the still-developing Zuko film is expected to be released sometime in 2026. The outlet also predicts that the release date will be on October 9, 2026, a year and a day after the untitled Avatar: The Last Airbender animated movie gets its release.

It is also worth noting that despite no key plot details have been revealed yet about the upcoming film, the untitled Zuko film is not a sequel to the Gaang film. Whether or not Zuko’s story will take place in the animated series or is set to become a prequel has yet to be confirmed, too. However, with news that actor Dante Basco, who voiced Zuko in the animated series, is returning to voice the formerly exiled prince in the Gaang film, this might be a confirmation that he, too, will be reprising his role in his own character’s solo film.

The untitled Zuko film will officially be released sometime in 2026, currently being predicted to be released on October 9, 2026.
