Avatar 3 is On Its Way!
The one of the many reasons why Avatar: The Way of Water took so long is because when it was under production, it is being filmed back to back with Avatar 3 which makes it more difficult to produce having two movies under production at once.
Not only Avatar 3 has been confirmed, Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 are also confirmed to be officially happening. That being said, here's everything you need to know to be prepared for the arrival of Avatar 3!

Avatar 3 Plot: What Will be the Plot of the Third Movie?
Avatar 3 is expected to pick up where Avatar: The Way of Water ended where Jake Sully and his family are recovering from the death of their eldest child, Neteyam, after the fight that ensued between them and the Sky People by the reefs.
Jake Sully and Neytiri both try to pick up their whole family as they are now considered as part of the Metkayina clan, personally welcomed by the head of the tribe, Tonowari. This means that the family isn't returning to the Omaticaya clan in a while.
The matriarch of the Metkayina clan, Ronal, is still pregnant and her birth to her child could mark a new chapter to their whole clan.
The Metkayina clan remains by the reefs as they live with the Sully family and they now forge a better relationship with each other, even a deeper appreciation to their Tulkun brothers and sisters, even with the Tulkun outcast that saved them all during the battle with the Sky People.
Speaking of the Sky People, their quest for the Tulkun is still ongoing because an extract from the Tulkun gives a preserving effect that humans who take it will stop aging, making it the most valuable liquid being sent back to Earth.
Meanwhile, Kiri remains to be a surprise character after it was revealed that she is a miracle child of Dr. Grace Augustine and she turns out to have abilities to control the wildlife of Pandora on her will and she even revealed to Jake that she hears and feels the heartbeat of Eywa.
Then, there's Colonel Miles Quaritch who was saved by his son, Spider. Still, Spider chose to be with the Sully family and that left Quaritch alone for survival but with Spider still saving Quaritch shows how human the child is in the movie.
With the arrival of four more characters played by Vin Diesel, Michelle Yeoh as Dr. Karina Mogue, Oona Chaplin as a Na'vi named Varang and David Thewlis as an unnamed Na'vi until Avatar 5, it is expected that there is more to the story once Avatar 3 comes out.
