Aubrey Plaza made her first public appearance during last night's SNL 50: The Anniversary Special since the death of her husband Jeff Baena.
Baena passed away last January 3 due to suicide. Plaza has not made any public appearance since his death aside from releasing the statement, "This is an unimaginable tragedy. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please respect our privacy during this time."

During SNL 50: The Anniversary Special, the Agatha All Along star made a surprise appearance in which she introduced Miley Cyrus and Brittany Howard's musical performance of "Nothing Compares 2 U."
It marked her first public appearance since the passing of Baena.
A lot of fans also noticed that Plaza paid tribute to her late husband through her outfit. The actress was wearing a tie-dye shirt under a black blazer.
In case you're not familiar, Plaza and Baena were wearing tie-dye pajamas when they got married during the COVID-19 pandemic. Baena also learned how to tie dye while in the lockdown.
Plaza also has a long history with Saturday Night Live since she interned during the show's 2004-2005 season and became an NBC page. She eventually hosted an episode in 2023 when she became a full-fledged star.
