Eren and Zeke are still in the Paths. Zeke is shocked by what he found out about Eren through their father, Grisha. He confronts Eren about it and commands Ymir to make the Eldians infertile. Even though he tells Eren he can't do anything anymore since Ymir only follows royalty, Eren breaks free from his chains and chases after Ymir anyway.

There is a flashback of Ymir's history from 2,000 years ago, showing how she became the Founding Titan. She was once a slave, and after entering a tree and falling into a body of water, she comes in contact with a parasite-looking creature and becomes a Titan. King Fritz uses Ymir's Titan ability as a weapon to fight Marley.

King Fritz also uses Ymir to bear children, resulting in three daughters: Sina, Rose, and Maria. Eventually, King Fritz tells his daughters to eat Ymir's body in order to pass down the Titan powers. This continues through numerous generations.

In the Paths, Ymir creates Titans time and time again, going back and forth to mold them. Returning to the scene with the Jaeger brothers, Eren catches up to Ymir and tells her she can be free to pick what she wants to do. He asks her to lend him her power, and the Rumbling begins.

The Walls around Paradis Island begin to collapse, waking up the Titans sleeping inside it. As these Titans start to move, Armin tells Mikasa that Eren succeeded with the plan, and he's been on their side all along. However, Armin becomes confused after seeing all three Walls break down.

Using the Founding Titan's powers, Eren talks to all the Subjects of Ymir and tells them that the Titans plan to get rid of basically everyone in the world except the people in Paradis.
