Ashley Tisdale recalled a hilarious moment on a podcast when her 3-year-old daughter, Jupiter, thought Zac Efron was her dad.
Both stars worked together in the iconic 2006 Disney movie High School Musical, where Ashley played Sharpay Evans, a rich and popular girl deeply infatuated with basketball star Troy Bolton, played by Zac Efron.

Ashley Tisdale Laughs About the Time Her Daughter Confused Zac Efron for Her Dad
Laughter burst out between guest speaker Ashley Tisdale and Breaking Beauty podcast host Jill when Tisdale revealed her daughter’s reaction to watching High School Musical, the movie in which she starred.
At around 33:53 in the podcast episode posted on January 15, the actress shared that her husband, Christopher French, had watched the movie with their daughter, Jupiter.
"About a year ago maybe, my husband showed her, and I was like, 'What are you doing?’” Tisdale recalled. Then, she revealed that she overheard her daughter exclaim, “Daddy!” referring to Zac Efron on the screen.
Tisdale told the host that she quickly corrected her daughter, saying, “No, no, no. Just because they have dark hair … not Daddy.”
The toddler mistaking Zac Efron for her father just because of a similar hair color was just one of the many surprising yet adorable moments Tisdale shared on the podcast.
Tisdale also mentioned that although Jupiter watches Phineas and Ferb, another Disney Channel series where Tisdale voices Candace Flynn, and recognizes her mom’s voice, she’s still curious about why random people take pictures with her.
However, as Tisdale explained, her daughter wouldn’t know she’s a famous actress. After all, she’s only three.
One thing’s for sure: Jupiter is proud whenever she sees her mom on screen. The Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure star shared that her daughter was giddy with excitement when she spotted her on the livestream of the Wish premiere in November.
Zac Efron Comments on Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale Being a Mom
High School Musical was a huge turning point for Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Tisdale, helping them land roles in more projects and shaping their careers.
Both Tisdale and Hudgens became mothers last year, with Hudgens welcoming her first child with Cole Tucker in July.
In an interview with Access Hollywood, Zac Efron was asked what he thinks about them becoming moms. He replied, "Oh, they’re going to be the best moms ever, those girls.”
He also added, "Are you kidding me? Oh my gosh. Yeah, we're going to have some fun family reunions coming up."
