Ariana Grande has shot down the rumors and speculations that she will be leaving her music career behind.

Following the massive success and awards run of Wicked (including nabbing her first Oscar nomination), Grande has become a bona fide movie star. However, it also led to her fans wondering if she is abandoning her music career to focus on being a full-time actress.

Is Ariana Grande Leaving Her Music Career Behind?

In her recent post on Instagram, Grande clarified that she has no plans to end her music career anytime soon, and she is still committed to making music and performing in the future.

"Very silly of you all to assume that just because I have my hands full with many things that I plan to abandon singing & music... !!! It is and has always been my lifeline. There will need to be room made for all of it," she wrote.

"It may not look exactly like it did before but I much prefer how it looks in my head. I am having fun. I feel grateful and excited and inspired. Finding a balance, between many projects and endeavors I love, and doing it my own way, so I’m working on a plan to sing for you all next year; even if it’s just for a little. I love you."

Grande's post comes as fans are concerned about the future of her music career, when it was announced earlier this week that she has signed on to star in another movie.

However, fans have nothing to worry about, and there is even a possibility that Grande will release a new album or go on a tour again next year, as teased in her caption.

What Are Ariana Grande's Upcoming Projects?

Grande will be reprising the role of Glinda in the upcoming film Wicked: For Good, which will arrive in theaters this November.

Following her first Oscar nomination earlier this year, fans are wondering whether she will get another one for the second film and whether it will manage to replicate the same success.

She is also starring in the highly anticipated sequel, Meet the Parents 4, joining returning stars Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro.

According to reports, she will be playing the role of the fiancée of Stiller's character's son, who is described as "a ball-busting woman who seems all wrong for him."

Grande is also set to star in the upcoming animated musical film Oh, The Places You’ll Go! alongside Josh Gad. It is set for release in theaters in 2028 and marks her reunion with Wicked director Jon M. Chu.

"I love this book, I love this script, I love the beautiful world of Dr. Seuss," she said of her involvement in the project.
