Recent reports claimed that Spider-Man stars Tom Holland and Zendaya are now engaged after years of dating.
The two stars first met when they worked together in the MCU trilogy where their characters Peter Parker and MJ became a couple as well. Fans have also been following their relationship throughout the years.
Now, it looks like they have moved their relationship to the next level.
Are Zendaya and Tom Holland Officially Engaged?
Rumors of Zendaya and Holland's engagement first surfaced when the former attended the Golden Globes ceremony last Sunday night as a nominee for Challengers.
A lot of fans noticed that Zendaya was wearing a diamond sparkler on her ring finger. The choice of accessory resulted in speculations on whether she was hinting at her engagement with Holland.
The next day, TMZ reported that they heard from sources that Zendaya and Holland are indeed officially engaged and it happened during the holidays while they were at the actress' family home.
Holland reportedly did not do a "big, over-the-top proposal" and, instead, it was "very romantic and intimate" when he popped the question.
However, there is no plan yet for the wedding day as they're both busy with their respective projects including Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey where they are both set to star together.
So far, Zendaya and Holland have not addressed their rumored engagement in an official statement.
Zendaya and Tom Holland's Dating History
It is unknown exactly when Zendaya and Holland started dating while filming the Spider-Man trilogy.
Despite being young A-list movie stars, the couple has been private about their relationship and they rarely show up on the red carpet together unless they both star in the same project.
"Because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us," Holland explained in a recent interview.
In another past interview, Holland also explained why they decided to keep their relationship private.
"Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible. We don’t think that we owe it to anyone, it’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers," he said.
