It's no secret that Ant-Man is one of the most underrated heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and while his first two films have been pretty solid overall, it can't be denied that the character has always been relegated to a comic relief kind of role. Well, things are about to get a major shakeup as Phase Four undoubtedly changes the way we see Scott Lang and it's safe to say that he will play a vital role in the franchise moving forward.

Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly's third standalone film, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania has kickstarted production months ago and director Peyton Reed has revealed on social media that the project has already begun its principal photography just this week. Taking to his official Twitter account, Reed announced the exciting news and even teased the return of a prop that was originally featured in the first Ant-Man film — the hideous talking stuffed bunny Scott gifted his daughter Cassie at her birthday party.

Now, you may be thinking that it's no actually no big deal but if you'll pay closer attention to the message behind the stuffed bunny's potential inclusion in Ant-Man 3, it could symbolize Cassie's transition from a regular teenage girl to becoming either Stinger or Stature, one of the key members of the Young Avengers. In case you weren't aware, actress Kathryn Newton will reportedly play a significant role in the film and it's safe to assume that Quantumania will set up her journey to following her dad's Avenger footsteps.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will hit cinemas sometime in 2023.
