Anson Mount recently addressed his rumored return as Black Bolt in the upcoming MCU film Avengers: Secret Wars.
There have been rumors that the team-up film will feature several cameo appearances from various actors from past MCU and non-MCU projects considering that it is expected to lean heavily into the multiverse.
So far, Marvel Studios has not confirmed any of the rumored cameos as the project continues to be in development, but fans are hoping to see many past actors make their return in the film.
Anson Mount Debunks Avengers: Secret Wars Cameo
In his recent post on X, Mount debunked a scoop from an insider that allegedly claimed he and his Inhumans co-stars will make appearances in Avengers: Secret Wars.
"This is so interesting. Please tell us more about this contract I apparently signed in my sleep. I’m so curious to hear all the juicy details from a feed that is clearly not a click-farm," he wrote in his post.
This should shoot down any speculations regarding Mount's potential return as Black Bolt in the MCU film as we have an official word from the actor himself that he won't be involved (at least for now).
While Mount reprised the role of Black Bolt in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it sounds like Marvel Studios has no plans yet to bring back the actor again for another multiverse film.
There is still a possibility that Mount will return to the MCU at some point since Secret Wars is still in the works and Marvel Studios might decide later on to bring back the actor.
For now, there is no confirmation that Mount is returning in Avengers: Secret Wars, but fans should look out for any news soon regarding his potential comeback.
Avengers: Secret Wars is slated for release in theaters on May 7, 2027.
