Fans who have been waiting for any updates on Anne Rice's highly anticipated TV series focusing on Lestat are in for a treat. The Vampire Chronicles has just added Dee Johnson as its showrunner, confirming that the show is finally moving forward.
The announcement was made by Christopher Rice on the official The Vampire Chronicles Facebook account. Christopher explained that it took the show's creative team a long time to find a showrunner.
It's certainly great to know that The Vampire Chronicles now has a showrunner. But has the series actually found its Lestat? Anne Rice herself has previously asked fans to offer their suggestions on who should play The Brat Prince on the show. Interestingly, she expressed interest in casting Stephen Amell after coming across a photo of the Arrow star wearing a blond wig.
The Vampire Chronicles has not yet been given an official production or premiere date. Stay tuned for more updates on the series.
