Anime fans on Reddit voted on a poll from Anime Bracket where they had to name the best girl of 2024.
Out of 44 characters, Anna Yanami of Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! was named the best girl of 2024 as she received the most votes in the final round.
She prevailed over Marcille Donato from Delicious in Dungeon, who was vying for the spot in the final round. She only got 466 votes compared to Anna Yanami's 964 votes.
In case you're not familiar, Anna Yanami is one of the "loser heroines" in Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! She is the popular girl in Kazuhiko's class and is known for having a bright and charming personality. She has a crush on her childhood friend Sōsuke Hakamada.
There's no easy explanation regarding why Anna Yanami prevailed, but fans of the anime series know that she is a fan-favorite character among viewers and her strong personality made an important impression.
Fans also celebrated her win as a "losing heroine" finally took the spot and it showed that she won the hearts of the fandom even if it wasn't the case for her storyline in the anime.
