Angelina Jolie Says Fidelity Isn't Essential While With Brad Pitt
Jolie and Pitt sparked romance rumors when they filmed Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2004. At the time, Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston.
Pitt and Aniston broke up and divorced in 2005. Shortly after their separation, the Ocean's Eleven actor publicized his romance with Jolie.
Jolie's previous statement about fidelity resurfaces years after her separation from Pitt. They wed on Aug. 23, 2014, but split in 2016 and were declared legally single in April 2019.
Here's what Jolie said about fidelity per FandomWire:
Jolie said the statement in a 2009 interview with German magazine Das Neue. According to Daily Mail, she also discussed their fiery relationship.
The outlet noted that when the Brangelina romance started, they were hit with allegations that they had an affair while Pitt was still married to the Friends alum. However, Jolie vehemently denied it saying her father cheated on her mother and she wouldn't be a third party in a marriage.
Jolie reportedly said:
In 2016, Pitt and Jolie separated following an altercation onboard a plane when the family was traveling from France to the United States. She alleged that he "grabbed her by her head" and "pushed her into the bathroom wall, punched the ceiling of the plane."
Pitt also allegedly blamed her for destroying their family. The exes are still embroiled in a legal battle seven years after they decided to call it quits.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have said a lot of things against each other amid their legal battle. Last year, Jolie accused Pitt of choking one of their kids and striking another during the altercation aboard a private jet that caused their separation.
Pitt's lawyer, Anne Kiley, defended the actor and said he would not "own anything that he didn't do." Kiley said in a statement to Page Six:
Pitt claimed in his filing against Jolie that she "sought to inflict harm on" him by selling her stake in their wine company to a "stranger with poisonous associations and intentions," People reported.
Pitt alleged that he and Jolie previously agreed that no one would sell their respective interests in their family business without each other's permission. Pitt also said that Miraval was a "passion" project for him, and he grew it into a multimillion-dollar global business while Jolie contributed "nothing" to its success.
Jolie said that Pitt's allegations were "false" and there "no such agreement ever existed."
