Fans of And Just Like That are calling out a continuity error that happened in the recent episode regarding the death of Lisa Todd Wexley's father.
In last week's episode titled "Silent Mode," Lisa was grieving over the unexpected passing of her father. It led to an emotional moment at his funeral, where she delivered a eulogy in front of her family and friends.
Why Are Fans Calling Out the Continuity Error in And Just Like That Season 3?
Loyal fans and viewers of And Just Like That took issue with the episode's depiction of the death of Lisa Todd Wexley's father, as it paved the way for a massive continuity error.
However, Lisa already mentioned in the first season that her father had already died. She said to Charlotte, "I was exactly the same when my father died last year."
During the second season, Lisa's father made an appearance in one episode when he attended a dinner party hosted by Lisa. Billy Dee Williams played him.
It made fans wonder whether the writers had forgotten that they had already killed off Lisa's father before, or if this was a massive blunder that they had simply overlooked when writing the episode.
This is not the first time that And Just Like That has dealt with continuity issues, as it has also brought back actors from Sex and the City to play new characters.
Did the And Just Like That Writers Really Forget Lisa's Father Already Died?
So far, none of the writers or executive producers of And Just Like That have addressed the continuity error in the series directly.
However, Entertainment Weekly reported that they have confirmation from sources that Lisa was referring to her stepfather in the first season, not the biological father.
In other words, it appears that there is no continuity error at all, or the writers have found a way to address the loophole and stop the speculations from fans.
For now, fans should anticipate what else the series has in store for the rest of the third season, especially the aftermath of what Lisa went through.
