Months after their initial sightings in February, Ana de Armas has finally addressed the rumors surrounding her relationship with co-star Tom Cruise.
Ana de Armas Talks About "Fun" Working with Co-Star Tom Cruise
During an appearance on Good Morning America on Thursday, the Knives Out star shared that she and the 62-year-old action star had been working on "a few projects" together behind the scenes.
While promoting her upcoming John Wick spinoff, Ballerina, she was asked about working with Cruise.
"It's so much fun. We're definitely working on a lot of things," de Armas said, "Not just one, but a few projects with Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie, and of course, Tom. And I'm so excited."
For the uninformed, Liman is the director who worked with Cruise on Edge of Tomorrow in 2014 and American Made in 2017.
McQuarrie, on the other hand, has been involved with Cruise's projects on several movies like Edge of Tomorrow, Top Gun: Maverick, and the Mission: Impossible franchise.
As much as de Armas tried to play it casual in mentioning Cruise, fans couldn't help but wonder whether there is something more than chemistry going on between these two.
Ana de Armas and Tom Cruise Dating Speculations
The speculated couple was first spotted together in February, on Valentine's Day, when they were photographed sharing a casual dinner in London. Though the two weren't displaying PDA, they posed for selfies with fans at the time.
Since then, they have been spotted out and about around London, fueling the fire.
On March 14, they were seen getting off a helicopter with director Liman, and later on were reportedly seen leaving David Beckham's 50th birthday party together earlier this month.
The photo was snapped by paparazzi with the backseat of a black SUV revealing de Armas' silhouette sitting beside Cruise.
A Beckham birthday bash partygoer told Page Six that they "came together and had a great night," but "couldn't say any more than that" as they've got "no proof it's romantic." So, are they dating or not?
According to a source from Us Weekly, Ana and Tom originally met through work, as suggested by the Top Gun star's ex, Penelope Cruz.
The insider claimed that Tom is "really into her", but that Ana is "more cautious," considering that she "doesn't like public attention." The source added, however, that the two have gone on a "few dates" and describes their current stage as "very lowkey."
Heck, they were seen celebrating de Armas' 37th birthday together by taking a walk in a London park. For now, nothing has been confirmed about what's going on between these two unless they publicly confirm it.
The No Time to Die star's last romantic affair rumor was with Little America's Victoria Canal last summer, while de Armas was reportedly seen kissing Cuban President Diaz-Canel's stepson, Manuel Anido Cuesta, in November 2024.
In the meantime, Ana de Armas' Ballerina releases on June 6, while Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning premieres on May 23.
