Amy Adams Elaborates on Her Future as Lois Lane

Amy Adams recently made headlines when she says that she might be done playing Lois Lane for the DCEU, and she has now come out to clarify her previous statement.

During a roundtable interview (via DenofGeek), Adams clarified on her role, "You know what's funny? I actually don't know."

Adams continues:

"I haven't had any official conversation with anybody. I was just talking with Nicole Kidman about it, and I was like, 'Oh, I guess I've got to be careful what I say!' But yeah, I haven't had any word officially."

The same could be said about Henry Cavill's role as Superman in the DCEU. Reports had said that he had exited the role, but it's possible that the more accurate news is that WB has no plans to put Superman on the big screen anytime soon, so Cavill had nothing to do but go to work.

For now, DCEU is focusing heroes outside of the main trinity with films like Shazam! and Joker. Wonder Woman 1987 is also in the works, but the movie is still due for 2020. For now, we have no idea when Superman will be making a comeback, nor Batman. The latest update we have on the solo Batman film is that the script is due for the end of the year.

On the bright side, the DCEU has made another hit with Aquaman. Let's hope they keep this streak without any more setbacks like Justice League.

Catch Aquaman in US theaters Dec. 21.
