Mena Massoud received arguably the biggest break in his young acting career after being cast in Disney's live-action adaptation of Aladdin. While the film received mixed reactions during its release, it was a certified financial success, earning $1.051 billion at the global box office. Critics initially predicted that Massoud will have a hard time finding roles after Aladdin but if the latest rumors are to be believed, the 30-year-old Canadian star is said to have been cast in the Star Wars franchise as the live-action version of Ezra Bridger in the upcoming Ahsoka series.
As it stands, nothing has been officially confirmed yet but Massoud has made it a point to constantly tease his rumored Lucasfilm casting on social media much to the delight of fans. Apparently, Star Wars is not the only franchise he has his sights on and the young actor is looking to pull the "hat trick" of appearing in all major media franchises following his brief Disney stint.
Taking to his latest Instagram stories, Massoud shared a short video of himself getting in tip-top shape, seemingly for another project. Intriguingly, he tagged the official handles of Star Wars, Marvel, and DC and captioned: "Won't stop until we get this done". It looks like Mena is pretty determined to become part of all the aformentioned properties.

To his credit, Mena is actually a pretty good actor and any franchise would be lucky to have him on board. While we don't know what the future holds for his career, anything is virtually possible and I have complete faith that it won't be long until we see him again on the big screen as part of a major franchise.
Meanwhile, 2019's live-action Aladdin can be streamed on Disney+.
