Ahsoka's Disney+ Show Defeats Boba Fett's Star Wars Record

Ahsoka Tano is making a new record for herself as she takes a new Star Wars record after Disney confirmed that she will be getting her own show. She has appeared in the animated movie titled Clone Wars and its subsequent TV series. Following that appearance, she has made her way to The Mandalorian, marking her very first live-action appearance.

Many people might get confused as to how Ahsoka defeated Boba Fett's Star Wars record. Ahsoka is not the first character to make the transition from animation to live-action. In recent times, there are characters like Bo-Katan Kryze and Saw Gerrera who also transitioned to live-action. Not only that, before Boba Fett became a live-action character, he was already an animated character as well.

Ahsoka was an animated character, who received her own novel, transitioned to live-action, did a voice cameo in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, made several appearances in the comics, and video games. All of these things make Ahsoka tied with Boba Fett in this list of appearing in all forms of canon in the Star Wars universe. However, one major factor is that Ahsoka will be getting her own TV show, which puts her ahead of one point than Boba Fett when it comes to canon appearance.

Boba Fett debuted in the animation titled, The Star Wars Holiday Special before appearing as a live-action character in The Empire Strikes Back. He has appeared in some Expanded universe comics, novels, and video games. A Boba Fett-dedicated movie was in development but it was canned. If the movie pushed through, Boba would have been ahead of Ahsoka when it comes to a canon appearance record in the Star Wars universe. This new development for the Ahsoka-dedicated series is in the lead for canon appearance.

The Ahsoka series will be set during the time period in The Mandalorian. If in the near future Ahsoka gets her own movie, this will add to her lead ahead of Boba Fett.

The Ahsokaseries was announced in December 2020 following Disney's Investor Day. Meanwhile, catch The Mandalorian Season 2 episode 8 which will air on December 18, 2020.
