The first season of Ahsoka concluded in October 2023, and who would've thought that season 2 would officially end its filming in October this year?
Ahsoka star Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who plays Sabine Wren in the series, has recently celebrated with behind-the-scenes pictures that seemingly imply a major Star Wars tease.
When Did Ahsoka Season 2 Finish Filming?
While plot details and teasers for Ahsoka season 2 remain under wraps, Natasha Liu Bordizzo's behind-the-scenes picture pretty much confirmed fans' highly anticipated news: they have officially finished filming their return!
Filming for Ahsoka season 2 started in late April in the UK, just a few days after Star Wars Celebration Japan. At the convention, showrunner Dave Filoni and star Rosario Dawson hosted a panel to recap the first season and teased the new story of the upcoming episodes.

Upon ending the first season in October 2023, Filoni, who was confirmed to be working on the second season of the series, announced their comeback in January 2024. Considering the major success Ahsoka faced, it's no wonder that a season 2 came to order.
Natasha's news came from her Instagram Story as the photograph showcased the silhouettes of her character and lead actress Dawson as they continue their journey together as Jedi. Natasha wrote in the captions, "And as for this journey... it only gets more epic."
She also thanked the people of Richmond in the UK for their hospitality during their shoot.
But that's not all. Apart from the finished filming session, hardcore Star Wars Rebels fans pointed out a major easter egg most would've missed from Natasha's Story...

Look closely and you might've spotted an easter egg for the Mortis gods, which could be related to the World Between Worlds.
The Mortis gods, who were introduced in The Clone Wars, represent different aspects of the Force. They are usually found on murals relating to the World Between Worlds in Star Wars Rebels. Ahsoka season 1 episode 5 even showed World Between Worlds, when Snips faced her old Master Anakin Skywalker.
One fan on Reddit pointed out that the positioning of Bordizzo's and Dawson's hands looked oddly similar to the painting of the Mortis gods seen on the Lothal Jedi Temple in Rebels.
At the end of season 1, a statue of a Daughter (light side) and one of the Son (dark side) were seen, though the Daughter is missing her head. The first concept art was shared for season 2, where they saw Sabine and Ahsoka standing on the same Father statue, too.
Ahsoka season 2 has no release date yet, but The Mandalorian and Grogu will release next May 22.
