"A lot of action. Fights, battles, explosions, lightsabers, lasers. I'm having a flashback. So, a lot of action, and I think everybody's gonna love it," he told ScreenRant. "Dave [Filoni] went nuts, and all of us were ready to follow suit of our fearless leader, and it's gonna be a lot of fun."
Based on Esfandi's tease, Season 2 appears to be significantly more action-packed, with Filoni seemingly going all out on the scale and intensity of the story.
Esfandi's mention of having "a flashback" has also sparked speculation that Ezra Bridger could revisit memories involving his Jedi Master, Kanan Jarrus, potentially paving the way for the beloved Star Wars Rebels character's long-awaited return.
While that remains only a theory for now, the actor's comments provide intriguing evidence that it could finally happen.
Will Kanan Jarrus Appear in Ahsoka Season 2?
In Ahsoka Season 2, Ezra Bridger may help the New Republic find a way to bring Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) and Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) home after they become stranded on Peridea.
The mission could reunite the original Star Wars Rebels crew, including Zeb Orrelios, who has been confirmed to still be serving the New Republic in The Mandalorian & Grogu.
With Zeb set to return, the only missing member of the original team is Kanan Jarrus.
Season 2 could be the perfect opportunity to further explore Kanan's legacy. However, since voice actor Freddie Prinze Jr. previously said he is done portraying the character, the Jedi Knight may not physically appear in the series.
