Throughout Abbott Elementary's four seasons, the show has been balancing its focus on the understaffed teachers and their shenanigans when it comes to keeping their classrooms in order. But what about the kids?

Fans pointed out that the show doesn't have as much spotlight on the kids as it does on the main teachers of the story.

Although technically, Abbott Elementary has had its ups and downs in looking after the kids.

Some sample episodes include season 2 episode 4 titled The Principal's Office where a kid who was obsessed with Bluey kept disrupting Gregory's class by referencing the cartoon dog.

Another is when a student got caught smoking, leading school grounds to revamp their outdated drug policy in season 3 episode 4 titled Smoking.

Three things: the students do get their short moments, the teachers are the main characters of the show, and a previous interview with Abbott Elementary star Lisa Ann Walter (who plays Melissa Schemmenti) pretty much confirms the kids are not that rowdy, to begin with.

"If you ask kids that are 9 years old to make a little noise, you get kids going, 'Aaaah!' or you get something kind of being nonsensical, 'Blah blah blah.' They're 9! They just got into the business," Walter later added that the only way they get the rowdy bunch caught on camera for specific episodes is when they don't say the cameras are rolling.

Abbott Elementary season 4 is off to a great start in trying to give more spotlight to their kid actors. In this case, right on the premiere, we get to see a white family join their establishment right when school starts.

While Principal Ava Coleman (played by Janelle James) was utterly surprised at the family's particular interest in their school, the fans continued to eat up how the workplace sitcom unfolded its new episodes.

The newbie's parents explained in the premiere that the golf course being constructed near Abbott Elementary is the reason they joined the community, which the teachers understood almost immediately.
