Last year John Krasinski turned heads with his film A Quiet Place, and Paramount has greenlit a sequel not too long ago. What's interesting is, the sequel has apparently wrapped production already.

Krasinski announces on Twitter:

Though it's likely that Krasinski won't be onscreen anymore as Lee Abbott, we are getting the return of his family lead by Evelyn (Emily Blunt). We're also getting new faces in the cast including Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins), and Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy).

We don't really have an idea of what the story for the sequel is, but based on the photo that Krasinski shared, it's likely we're going to be coming back to some familiar places. The first film had ended with the Abbots finding a way to counterattack the aliens, so maybe we could see how they fare after their new discovery.

Then again, it's also rumored that Hounsou is now the main character of the film, so maybe we'll get the same timeline from the first film, but from Hounsou's character's perspective. This is just based on a rumor, of course. It's still likely that we're getting a traditional sequel, and we follow the journey of the Abbots after the first film.

For now, A Quiet Place Part II is set for a release on March 20, 2020.
