Over on Twitter, King shared a short review on Dune, and he was clearly impressed with the film, but he noted that the film ran a little bit longer. The writer also praised the film's brilliant special effects.

"I watched it with my wife this afternoon. Really long but really good. Hard to believe we can do all these amazing special effects and still not achieve world peace," King tweeted.

Of course, most of us would find the 74-year-old author's review credible, and many who have seen the film would agree with his thoughts about the film's amazing special effects. While he didn't get into detail about its story, direction, and cinematography, it's clear that most critics are loving Dune, which currently has an 83% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Villeneuve's adaptation was praised for its ambitious scope and spectacular visuals, and many fans are already craving for a sequel.
